The Defense Information Systems Agency is committed to providing access to all individuals — with or without disabilities — seeking information on our website. To meet this commitment, DISA complies with the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended in 1998.
Brief explanation of Section 508
Section 508 (29 U.S.C. 794d) requires that federal agencies’ Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) is accessible to people with disabilities, including employees and members of the public, comparable to that provided to the public who are not individuals with disabilities. Section 508 establishes requirements for any EIT developed, maintained, procured, or used by the federal government. The term EIT is defined by the Access Board in regulations published December 2000.
